Contemplative Care

A basic teaching of Tibetan Buddhism is that your death is a culmination of your life. In fact, death is a part of life. The caregivers at the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care work with the dying - people like Rose Tisnado, who has terminal cancer - to eliminate the thoughts of suffering around death. "I never expected this to be such a ... joyous (in a certain kind of way) experience... this is the most loving I've ever been in my life."
