Thomas Weller: Highway Helper

Thomas Weller sows seeds of kindness on the freeways of San Diego, California. A mechanic by training, Weller stops to help stranded motorists with flat tires, overheated engines and other roadside crises. Ask him why he does this, and he will hand you a card that reads: "Assisting you has been my pleasure. I ask for no payment other than for you to pass on the favor by helping someone else in distress that you may encounter."

Katie's Crops Feed The Homeless

It started with a tiny cabbage seedling that Katie Stagliano, a third grader in South Carolina, took home and tended until it grew to an amazing 40 pounds! Katie donated that cabbage to a local soup kitchen. Now 11, Katie has several gardens and has donated 2 tons of fresh produce to organizations that serve people in need!

Pre-School Kindness

Ethan is six and three quarters and Emily just turned seven, and they are best friends. Their pre-school teacher, Kathleen Albert, has been teaching them about kindness. So, for their graduation project, Ethan and Emily decided to raise money to help feed hungry people by collecting cans. When they were done, they had raised 5,304 dollars for the San Francisco Food Bank - enough money for 15,912 meals!

Caine's Cardboard Arcade

Caine Monroy is a 9-year old boy who spent his summer vacation building an elaborate cardboard arcade in his dad's used auto parts store. He spent months perfecting the game designs, making displays for the prizes, designing elaborate security systems, and hand labeling paper-lunch-gift-bags. Unfortunately, his dad's store is in an industrial part of East L.A. and gets almost no foot traffic, so Caine had exactly zero customers... until a random filmmaker, Nirvan Mullick, stops in for a used door handle and buys a Fun Pass.

The Grand Rapids LipDub

The Grand Rapids LipDub Video was filmed May 22nd, with 5,000 people, and involved a major shutdown of downtown Grand Rapids, which was filled with marching bands, parades, weddings, motorcades, bridges on fire, and helicopter take offs. It is the largest and longest LipDub video, to date.
